BLAND SPINNERS & WEAVERS' GROUP INC. The aim of the Group is to promote the use of locally grown wool by the process of hand spinning and weaving, and also other crafts using natural fibres. Major projects have been two wall hangings, the first was the handspun, hand-dyed and woven wool tapestry created for the Bicentennial in 1988, "The Woman of the West". In 1994 the group completed a second project, an embroidered four panelled wall hanging depicting the flora of the Bland Shire, created to celebrate the Wyalong Centenary and was donated to the residents of Waratah retirement Village.
