VISITOR INFORMATION CENTRE

WEST WYALONG VISITOR INFORMATION CENTRE Situated in the centre of town, the Visitor Information Centre can help you make the most of your stay in the Bland Shire. Local maps, information on accommodation, clubs, dining out, travel and places of interest. Open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm, weekends 11.00am to 2.00pm. SHOPPING HOURS

Shops are normally open from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and 9.00am to 12.00noon Saturday. There is a Supermarket in West Wyalong open 8.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 2.00pm Saturday, and 9.00am to 2.00pm Sunday (Barnardo & Grenfell Streets). There are also general stores in Wyalong, Barmedman, Ungarrie and Weethalle. Some roadhouses have basic provisions.

Smaller Service Stations keep normal business hours. There are 24 hour roadhouses* which also have dining and take-away facilities and which cater for large vehicles. BANKING HOURS

There are Banking facilities only in West Wyalong. Banks are closed weekends. Commonwealth Bank, 107 Main Street, West Wyalong. Open Mon-Fri 9.30am - 5.00pm. [ATMs] National Australia Bank, 141 Main Street, West Wyalong. Open Mon-Thu 9.30am - 4.00pm, Fri 9.30am - 5.00pm South West Slopes Credit Union, 147 Main Street, West Wyalong. Open Mon-Fri 9.00am - 5.00pm Westpac, 146 Main Street, West Wyalong. Open Mon-Fri 9.00am - 5.00pm, Sat 9.00am - 12.00noon. [ATM] ATMs (automatic teller machines) are located at the Westpac and Commonwealth banks and Coles Express in Wyalong. (Not all cards are accepted by all ATMs) EFTPOS facilities are available in post offices, supermarkets, service stations, liquor stores, hotels and clubs, and many shops. Most accept major foreign credit cards (but check before you leave home!) Currency Exchange and Traveller's Cheques are normally only negotiable at banks. Post Offices can be found at: Barmedman, Burcher, Tallimba, Ungarrie, Weethalle, West Wyalong & Wyalong. Post Offices are open Mon - Fri 9.00am to 5.00pm (smaller branches may close for lunch). Stamps can usually be bought also in Newsagencies.
